Borsh beach follows — seven kilometres of sand beneath Albania's largest contiguous olive grove, where roadside presses sell oil and the beach remains less developed than Dhërmi.

Ksamil, before Sarandë, is the Riviera's crowded jewel — four tiny islands in swimming distance from a beach that rivals Greek island aesthetics at fraction of the price. Parking is the main van challenge; arrive early or use guesthouse parking inland. Butrint UNESCO site, ten minutes south, provides cultural counterpoint — Greek, Roman, and Byzantine ruins in a lagoon where archaeology and wetland birds share the landscape.

Sarandë is the southern terminus — ferry to Corfu (30 minutes), a long waterfront promenade, and the practical services (fuel, repair, supermarkets) that mark the end of the Riviera run. Camp at Ksamil or Sarandë autocamps; wild camping on beaches is tolerated with discretion outside peak season.

For classic and low-power campervan drivers, this is Albania's most relaxing driving day — cruise in third gear, stop at every viewpoint, swim from multiple beaches. May through October; September offers warm water and thinning crowds. Combine northward with Llogara Pass and southward with Gjirokastër for the complete southern Albania coastal week. After Llogara, this coastal strip is recovery driving: cruise gently, stop at Porto Palermo's roadside lot, and prefer Borsh or Himarë parking over midday Ksamil in July. September offers warm water with thinning crowds — the sweet spot for classic campervans on the Ionian. Borsh's long sand beach under olive terraces stays less developed than Dhërmi and usually offers more turning space. Ksamil's four islets are swimming distance from shore but parking is the bottleneck; arrive early or sleep inland at a guesthouse. Wild camping on beaches is sometimes tolerated with discretion outside peak season, but formal autocamps in Ksamil and Sarandë are the safer overnight choice for older campers.
